Sport Rig

The Sport Rig was donated to the Nebraska Sports Council in 2006 by a small, local underground sprinkler company. The NSC showcases the Sport Rig at events including the Cornhusker State Games Opening Ceremonies, CSG Torch Run Celebrations, Mud Run and Pumpkin Run, as well as various events, gatherings and tailgates.

In 2006, the mission was to revamp a 1976 Ford Stepvan and convert it into a state of the art, modern, moving billboard and entertainment vehicle. It is now 2012, and thanks to the Nebraska Lottery and other contributing partners, that vision has become a reality.

With the help of media partners, the Sport Rig project has been transformed into a 30-minute TV show, called “Sport My Rig”, a localized version of “Trick My Truck” or “Pimp My Ride”, that showcases the many sponsors of the Sport Rig. "Sport My Rig" can be seen in the media above, on Time Warner Cable Nebraska On-Demand or a DVD can be purchased from the Nebraska Sports Council office by calling 402-471-2544 or emailing info@nebraskasportscouncil.com.
